About us

The Software Product-Line Group at the University of Passau develops methods, theories, and tools to aid developers in software product-line engineering. The group concentrates on programming language support, generators, development and analysis tools, and practical case studies. A key objective of the group is to complement current research results and trends with high-quality lecture courses, seminars, and lab exercises. The group advises regularly bachelor's and master's theses, publishes on highly-ranked international conferences, and receives funding from several sources.

Funding

We acknowledge gratefully the support of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The Software Product-Line Group is funded to a large extent within the Emmy Noether-Programme of the DFG. The associated project 'Safe and Efficient Software Product Lines' is at the heart of the research activities of the group. The funding period is from November 2010 until October 2015.

The group cooperates with a number of other research groups, research centers, and companies including the METOP Research Center and pure-systems.
